TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
Preauthorization is a fraud prevention method used by financial institutions to guarantee the safety of certain transactions. A preauthorization, or a temporary hold, simply authorizes the full amount of the purchase on your card. The funds are still in your account and will not be transferred to us unless you choose to keep the product.
Preauthorization funds are never actually withdrawn from your account but may be held for the duration of the trial period. Depending on your bank, this may appear like a pending charge, and may fall off or disappear within 1-4 business days.
You will not be charged the full price of your Try Before You Buy product(s) unless you keep your products after your trial period.
You can typically tell the difference between a pre authorization and an actual charge in your banking app or your credit card statement - a pre authorization will appear as ‘pending’, ‘voiding’, or ‘in progress’ while an actual charge will be posted.
We recommend contacting your bank or card provider directly if you need clarification on your bank’s policy on authorization holds as each financial institution does slightly differ.
Our Try Before You Buy trial sends you a full-sized product(s) - not a sample size! If you decide to keep the product, you will then pay the full price of the product(s) at the end of the trial.
We designed the Try Before You Buy program to make buying skin and hair products online easier
by giving you time to try your product(s) at home before being charged. Here’s how it works:
- We send you a full sized product(s) and you are charged upfront for shipping, which is nonrefundable. You may also see a temporary preauthorization or pending charge for the full amount of your order.
- Your payment method may be subject to preauthorization, a temporary hold, for the full purchase price of your Try Before You Buy order, which may reduce the available balance or credit limit of your payment method for the duration of the temporary hold.
- You keep just the product(s) you love and when your trial is over, you are charged the full price of the product(s) you keep. You can return any product(s) you don't love before the end of your trial, and you will not be charged for the returned product(s).
- You can download a free pre-paid return label any time within your trial here.
- We know it can take time to build a new routine, so even after being charged, you have 60 days from your original order date to return your product(s) for a full refund (excluding shipping costs). We want to make sure you have time to see results and absolutely love your product(s).
- You can find out more information about the preauthorization and Try Before You Buy in our terms and conditions here.
